Meet Stephen – Foodbank Compliance Manager

On Tuesday Stephen is usually seen at the gate of the FMH ,processing vouchers on the computer or chatting to clients in the queue. On Friday at the warehouse he helps with processing of food stock and deals with legislative requirements.

Stephen says

‘ Having worked in the legal world for 42 years I felt that I would benefit both physically and mentally from the stimulation of voluntary work. With the very high level of UK food poverty it seems to me that volunteering the Foodbank would be worthwhile. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience even though the request to use my legal skills was rather unexpected.’
