For the past few years we have tried to give small Mother’s Day gifts to the many mums who visit the foodbank and to clients who want a gift for their mum too.
This year, the task of making up gift bags was taken on by our wonderful volunteer, Anna. Her powers of persuasion brought in enough gifts to fill around 130 gift bags with chocolate, toiletries and other gift items. Anna said her daughter Poppy, 15, also got a lot of support from friends and classmates and her Selly Park neighbours had been wonderfully generous too.
Thanks to Anna for putting a smile on many faces in the coming weeks and everyone who contributed to putting the lovely gift bags together.
