Volunteer since 2013! Retired Physiotherapist
“it still feels the right thing to be doing for all those in need of emergency food”
Long term volunteer started with the foodbank in 2013 as a representative of St Nicholas Church. I hadn’t realised the serious need for a foodbank locally – but Roger Collins had, and our client numbers steadily increased. Storage needs and warehouse sizes kept growing, and I have steadily got more involved in the management of them. When the pandemic hit, I was handed the warehouse and off-site store keys, and the associated learning curve resembled an upright ladder!
I am still here, it still needs a manager and it still feels the right thing to be doing for all those in need for emergency food.
